We know that many people want to be cared for at home for as long as possible with the support of family, friends and neighbours.  Hospice Simcoe can be a part of that support at home.

The care is all about you, where you are in this moment in time and  celebrating your life.

What Is Our In-Home Visiting Program

Our In Home Visiting Program is made up of compassionate, specially trained volunteers you can  trust, who provide emotional and practical support to you and your family in the comfort of your own home.  They have been described as “a breath of fresh air”.

Our volunteers visit regularly to provide companionship and a listening ear along with an opportunity for family caregivers to feel comfortable taking a much needed break. They can also assist with shopping, preparing a simple meal, an after school snack for the children, and care for your beloved pet while you are resting or out and about. 

You are not alone.   In home support is available from the time of your initial diagnosis of a life threatening illness for as long as you need us.

There is no cost to you for this service.

How To Get Started

It all starts with a simple phone call.  Our coordinator will be happy to speak with you to discuss your needs and make an appointment to meet at your convenience.  A volunteer will be matched with you to provide ongoing support.
