September 2, 2011 - Ontario is helping Barrie and Simcoe area families support loved ones in the last stages of life by increasing funding to Hospice Simcoe.
The province will provide Hospice Simcoe with additional funding to strengthen its nursing and personal support services for patients. The $320,000 investment will help Hospice Simcoe to continue to offer quality care and service within the Simcoe area to meet the often complex needs of patients and their families living with the challenges of a life-threatening illness.

Barrie, ON, July 13, 2011 - Tom Robinson, Community Manager of Scotiabank presented Bruce Bound, Hospice Simcoe Board Chair with a cheque in the amount of $20,795.77 from their 8th Scotiabank Annual Buy a Brick Campaign.

Barrie, ON, July 4, 2011 - Hospice Simcoe is delighted to be awarded with a cheque from the Rotary Club of Barrie representing another installment toward the completion of its original pledge of $100,000.00 made in support of the Hospice Simcoe Capital Campaign, which was successfully closed on December 31, 2009.
We are very excited at Hospice Simcoe because we have been nominated for a Community Excellence Award. Although it would be wonderful to win, the nomination itself is truly the most important part.

Hospice Simcoe is realizing a dream. St. Elizabeth Health Care has been providing care to our residents since Hospice opened their beds last December. As of October 1, the RNs and RPNs caring for our residents are now employees of Hospice Simcoe.
