Hospice Simcoe Capital Campaign Update
- The Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care granted Hospice Simcoe $2,843,000 in 2008. Hospice Simcoe Board of Directors went ahead and built Hospice House with a strong belief Simcoe County residents would contribute the remaining $3,600,000. Their faith was strongly founded.
- To date Simcoe County residents, businesses and organizations have contributed $2,750,000 toward the building and furnishing of this home away from home at 336 Penetanguishene Road.
- The commitment from the community has been tremendous, with only $850,000 left to go to complete the final furnishings and to cover expenses for the first year of operations!
Donor Recognition/Naming Opportunities
- The Hospice House-$1,000,000
- Residential Wing-$200,000
- Program Wing-$150,000
- Library-$100,000
- Resident Rooms-$50,000
- Financial Analyst Office-$20,000
And there are many ways to build a house. There are groups of people all across Simcoe County who are doing a number of different things to help cover the costs of building Hospice House. From hoedowns, musical concerts, raffled quilts, instore fundraising…brick by brick, curtain by curtain residents of Simcoe County are working together to finish this home.
Pledges can be made over five years! For example a resident room at $50,000 is $10,000 per year.
Ongoing Public Relations Opportunities—Now, before the house is accepting residents, is the perfect time to invite individuals, corporations and organizations for a personal tour or event at Hospice House.
Reaching the Stretch Goal! There are many ways to complete the Hospice Simcoe Capital Campaign over the next six months. With strong support from the Hospice Simcoe Resource Development Office and from each other, we can reach the goal!
